The client is a global financial services organization and one of the top life insurers worldwide offering life insurance and savings products with offices in Asia, Europe and the Americas. After a complete re-engineering of the company, they needed to hire a VP Marketing for EMEA.
The role holder had to determine what products and services should be developed to meet the consumer needs and how to communicate these products and services in a way that is clearly understood by the client. They must also communicate how this will impact their competitiveness, their product and service development as well as the company’s overall marketing strategy.
We needed to find someone that was well versed in the EMEA market with a good marketing discipline in the services (airlines, retail, leisure) industry. The environment was quite collegial so they needed to be influencing and forceful with persuasive skills in order to steer the team in the right direction.
We short-listed four candidates, all coming from direct competitors and within two months the position was filled.
