The problems with email recruiting

If your company is like many these days, you've probably tried to do some of your recruiting by email. This might work when filling low-level roles, but there are several problems with this strategy when you're aiming to fill top managerial and executive roles.

The first is that if you're aiming to hire one of the top talents of your industry, your email is likely to get lost in the flood of similar emails these people receive daily. People who are highly sought-after in their fields receive so many emails that they tend to start ignoring the ones that don't seem immediately relevant and don't come from addresses they recognize. This means most recruiting emails go straight into the trash folder, especially if the candidate you're trying to reach already has a job.

The second is that most recruiting emails don't, and can't, include enough information about your company to make it attractive to a leading executive in the field. In order to recruit a truly game-changing leader, it's necessary to form a personal relationship where information about the company is shared in a way that's deeper than any possible email copy could convey.

This is where a retained executive search firm like YES Partners can come in. Our network of contacts around the world allows us to make personal connections with the kind of people you need to recruit for executive roles.

Finding people is easy, but finding the RIGHT people is not. YES Partners helps companies FIND the right people – for all company functions, across many industries and globally.
